Her journey to becoming a veterinarian was shaped by diverse experiences, beginning with her studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a BA in Psychology and a BBA in Marketing. Driven by a passion for understanding people and animals alike, she went on to receive an MA in Organizational Psychology from the University of North Texas.
Initially, Dr. Libby’s career path led her into management training roles with the City of Austin and the State of Texas. However, her love for animals ultimately inspired her to return to school and pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Balancing part-time work with her studies, she completed veterinary prerequisites at the University of Texas and volunteered at a local veterinary hospital, gaining hands-on experience along the way.
After earning her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Texas A&M University, Dr. Libby served as an associate veterinarian at a clinic, where she honed her skills and developed a strong connection to her clients and their pets. Recognizing a growing need for convenient, compassionate in-home veterinary care, she launched Mobile Cat & Dog Vet in January 2004.
